When Glenn and Sally Murphy heard chef Jonathan Landeen was ready to retire, they leapt at the opportunity to welcome friends, locals, regulars and visitors to one of the most inviting restaurant spaces in Tucson.

“Colette and I are so thankful to the community and most importantly, our guests and regulars who have been with us from day one – they really are the heart and soul of the Cork”, according to Landeen.

“The Cork has such a rich history of fantastic food in a cozy old-school environment…it’s like a comfortable old glove and we can’t wait to continue that legacy”, adds Mr. Murphy.

Glenn Murphy walked into his first commercial kitchen as a culinary apprentice at 15, in his native Perth, Australia. He’s owned and/or operated 40+ bars and restaurants in Australia, Thailand and the U.S. Sally Murphy grew up in Bisbee, Arizona who will apply her journalism background to telling stories with pictures of the food, drinks, guests and The Cork’s presence as a Tucson staple on social media.
